About Us

About Army Dog Tags – Current Authentic Military Dog Tags

Since 1991, armed services personnel, veterans and their families; members of the movie and music industry, and scores of others, have relied on ArmyDogTags.com to deliver custom dog tags precisely made to specification. We use the highest quality materials and produce exactly the same tags, chains, and silencers used by the US Armed Forces. As a result, we have become the leader in military dog tag production – offering the fastest, friendliest, and most accurate military dog tags in the industry outside of the U.S. Government.

Who are we?

We are Armydogtags.com, an American company based in Fullerton, California in the United States since 1991.

What do we do?

We make military dog tags for active duty military personnel, retired military personnel, civilians, movies, and for historical displays.

We use the highest quality materials and produce the exact same tags, chains, and silencers used currently by the US Military. As a result, we have become the leader in military dog tag production, offering the fastest, friendliest, and most accurate military dog tags available today.

What we are not.

We are not the VA or a government agency. We can not look up information on soldiers. Information on soldiers is private information and can not be easily accessed. If someone says they can do that, beware.

We are not a company that sells you cheap products so that they can gather your personal information and put you on endless call lists, SPAM e-mails, or crazy letter writing campaigns.

We are not part of a large shopping organization like Amazon, eBay, or Etsy.

What we are.

We are a stand alone, US company with a US phone number that you can call and talk to a US citizen.

We offer a 100% Guarantee. Click here for our Returns Policy.

We offer the highest forms of privacy for all the information we receive. Nothing is ever sold or exchanged. Click here for our Privacy Policy.

Our dog tags are the best replicas that are made today. We do not have a secret stash of dog tags from any specific time period. Also, note. There is not just one way dog tags are made and stamped. Millions and millions of dog tags have been issued by the government and really, no two are alike.

Spacing

Sometimes, it is hard to see on the computer screen exactly how the text will look when the dog tags are stamped. 5 blank spaces between elements can be shown on the screen as 1 space and sometimes as multiple spaces.

If you select: “Exact number of spaces” this means if you put 5 blank spaces in the text after let’s say after a name, then we will put 5 spaces on the dog tags despite how it appears on your screen.

If you select: “Stamp text according to the format for the era” we are assuming you do not have an original dog tag and that we will format the text appropriate to the time period.

If you have an original dog tag, you can send it to us and we will figure out the spacing. See options below for uploading a picture.

Silencer Color

What is darkened text?
Indent text, because it is stamped downward, has a tendency, over time, to gather dirt within the letters. This makes the letters easier to read. If you would like, we can add black color to the letters for an additional $5.00 USD.

Emboss Text

Emboss–Newer Style (Raised lettering). Adopted by the US military in the 1980s. Approximately 50% of all US military bases use Emboss–it depends on what equipment is available at each base.

Indent Text
Indent Text

Indent–Vintage Style (Sunken lettering). Indent was the only type used during WWII, the Korean War, and The Vietnam War.

Rolled Front vs Rolled Back
rolled to frontRolled Edge to Front (the rolled edge can be seen when reading the text) is how we usually stamp Current Issue dog tags.
rolled to backWWII and Korea era dog tags were stamped with the rolled edge to the back (the rolled edge can not be seen when reading the text).

Rolled Edge to the Front or Rolled Edge to the Back—neither is better than the other; it’s simply your preference.
