1965-1967 Vietnam Era Dog Tag

This tag's edge is rolled to the back and the hole is on the right. The soldier's service number is indicated. "RA" stands for Regular Army.

Vietnam 67-69

1967-1969 Vietnam Era Dog Tag

This tag includes both a service number and a social security number. This is a transition time when the military switched to using a soldier's social security number for identification instead of issuing a service number. The rolled edge is to the back and the hole is on the left.

Vietnam 70

1970 to Current Era

This tag has the rolled edge to the front with the hole on the left. The tag no longer uses the service number as a reference.

When ordering these tags, choose the era of tags that best fits your dog tag orientation. For example, if you want rolled edge to the back and the hole on the right, then choose 1965-1967 Vietnam Era Dog Tags, even if you were in the service during some other time. We will stamp the tag according to the format you submit on the input form.
